There is no doubt that Audrey Hepburn was correct in saying that  “Paris is always a good idea”,  I agree full heartedly. But – I will add, that for me, Paris is a brilliant idea in the fall and winter. Most of the tourists are home, and once again Paris belongs to the Parisians. I enjoy wearing my scarves and boots, strolling along the seine and enjoying the crisp air. I’m not bothered by cloudy sky’s or a rainy afternoon. It makes going to the museums and sitting in a cafe that much more enjoyable. The lines are short or not existent, it’s easier to get reservations, and it feels like a what a vacation should feel like to me. Time to relax, to enjoy the city, and just take it all in.
