Unlike other Mexican destinations that cater to spring breakers and gawking tourists, Punta de Mita offers seclusion, beauty, and an authentic slice of local life. This hidden gem is located just 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, but is far removed from the tourist hub’s congested streets and crowded attractions. Surrounded by jungle-covered mountains on the coast of Riviera Nayarit’s Banderas Bay, the location is naturally peaceful.

Los Veneros

Cheers from Punta de Mita.

Now, one of Inspirato’s most popular destinations in this amazing location just got better. After a nearly two-year construction process, the W Hotel next door to Los Veneros Resort Residences & Beach Club in Punta de Mita has been completed. Inspirato Members will now enjoy access to select amenities at the W Hotel including discounts at the spa and select food and beverage outlets, as well as access to the hotel’s fitness center.

On top of that, Los Veneros – home to six Inspirato luxury vacation residences – has unveiled a remodeled beach club pool, just steps from its beautiful private beach. Dedicated Inspirato beach attendants are at members’ service to make a day in the sun and sand perfectly suited to any taste. They can even set up children’s programming to keep little ones entertained. Inspirato Vacation Specialist Nina Jackson recently returned from the newly renovated resort: “Members will love the quick, easy access to the beach, as well as the new W Hotel… and all of its amenities.”

There are a wealth of activities for visitors that are looking for more than rest and relaxation. Members rave about day trips to charming local towns like La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and Sayulita, a beachy, laid-back village that’s ideal for surfing. The sleepy town was a favorite of Jackson’s, too: “Apart from the phenomenal service by the on-site Inspirato team, my personal favorite was venturing into Sayulita for shopping and dinner. We loved it so much we went three times, even though we wanted to go every single day.” Rather than rowdy bars and themed restaurants, streets are filled with taco stands, small bakeries, and local eateries dishing up the catch of the day. Yet, it’s also easy to have a fully luxurious experience on the Punta de Mita peninsula. There’s numerous upscale restaurants in the area and at the nearby Four Seasons and St. Regis resorts, including the only AAA Five Diamond restaurant in Nayarit. Of course, Inspirato’s stellar local Destination Concierge team is on hand to make reservations and recommendations.
